The client I impact most is one primarily motivated for change. I'm not an "ah huh, mmmm, I see" therapist. I am very active in session, and my client wants honest, direct feedback and education on issues and new skills for improved coping. I am patient, seasoned and aware that fear and habits make change hard, so I offer significant support and positive encouragement. My therapy involves Cognitive/Behavioral techniques like identifying one's "head chatter" , teaching skills to shift to a more positive mindset. Critical self talk (driven by anxiety), creates long term oppression and depression. Shifting this is empowering.
I see couples/families and individually as needed. "Family Systems" theory, "one therapist for all involved". I see all dynamics, decreases therapy length, most accurate determination and positive impact to issues. Confidentiality is kept. If a serious "secret" is stated in individual, individual continues if/until client ready for couples.
I am the single point of contact for the client. I personally return all calls, texts, and emails related to scheduling. I schedule with as much flexibility for the client/s as possible. I am available in person, by phone....for therapy, life & executive coaching. Clients exist throughout country.
