You've been told that you're "too much" or overly sensitive. You've been told this a lot actually. And every time you hear it, the cut digs a little deeper. After awhile, you start to think maybe they're right. Why else would you feel so chronically overwhelmed? Why else would you tear up “for no reason.” You wonder, “Why am I like this? What’s wrong with me?” If you relate, you may be a highly sensitive person. Many highly sensitive people are neurodivergent in some way, and there are reasons why you're sensitive. It isn't because you're difficult and there’s nothing wrong with you. You’ve been misunderstood, maybe for a long time.
My specialty is working with neurodivergent and highly sensitive people, particularly high achievers and creative professionals navigating grief, trauma, anxiety, or a new diagnosis. Brainspotting and somatic therapy with me can help. I nurture a warm and safe space for us so you can explore your inner sensitivities with more clarity and self compassion.
Is your goal to understand yourself better? Is it to show up more authentically as your true self in relationships? Let's work on things important to you for your personal growth and wellness. Email for a free 20 minute consultation to answer questions and chat about things like what to expect during sessions, my therapeutic approach, billing, etc.

Groups
Wanderlust Warriors
This is an online somatic skills and mindfulness support group for neurodivergent women. In the six week series we learn about the window of tolerance, practice listening to and respecting our individual needs, develop body-based skills, and meet with other Wanderlust Warriors for social connection and a greater sense of community. We use skills from Polyvagal Theory which focus on engaging the vagus nerve (in our calming nervous system), to promote feelings of safety and connection. We meet weekly and practice a new skill each week that includes a step-by-step handout for practicing skills between groups.
