Is your child having behavioral problems which are interfering with school, family, or friendships? Are you wondering if the behavior is normal or if he/she will outgrow it? I use a variety of evidence base practices to help collaborate with the family in restoring balance. Is your teen defiant, distant or abusing substances? I specialize with working with adolescents with a variety of substance use and/or mental health symptoms. I thoroughly enjoy working with teens who have addiction and mental health issues.
I have a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Oregon. I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Pacific University. I am a certified drug and alcohol counselor 3 (CADC III). I have experience providing mental health & addiction services in community mental health, inpatient and private practice since 2008.
I believe that each person has the ability to change and we will work together using a strength based approach. I utilize a variety of evidence based therapy approaches such as Parent Child Interaction Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. As well as play therapy approaches.
