As a registered play therapist, I utilize child- centered play therapy. This is an effective approach that allows children to process challenges and communicate using their natural language of play. Play therapy is a process in which children are given the opportunity to work through past or current difficulties. I utilize techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy with adolescents and adults to help individuals address current thought patterns and develop positive coping skills. In addition to training and experience in a variety of therapeutic treatment modalities, I draw from my training as a certified yoga teacher.
I have experience and training working with children, adolescents and adults. I work with individuals facing a variety of challenges, including anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief & loss, behavioral concerns and trauma. I enjoy working collaboratively with clients and utilizing methods that best fit each individual’s needs.
