I have been in practice for over 30 years and would love to help you face whatever challenges that are in the way of your happiness. I hold licenses in both NC and VA and I am seeing clients both virtually and in person in Wilmington. With a problem-focused approach, I will encourage you to use behavioral changes and cognitive strategies to start the healing process quickly and to begin to use more effective coping to deal with stress and the challenges you confront. Through therapy, you will develop more insight into why you react the way you do and develop new strategies for communication and connection.
I have experience working with clients on a variety of issues including life changes, depression, insomnia, bipolar disorder, anxiety, panic attacks, headaches, stress management, pain, marital and relationship issues, and grief reactions.
I completed my doctorate at U of Florida, an internship at UNC, and a postdoctoral fellowship in behavioral medicine at Duke University.
