I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and young adults. I offer a variety of therapeutic modalities including Play Therapy, CBT, Person Centered Therapy, DBT, Behavioral Therapy, and trauma work. There is not a one size fits all, so I will utilize different modalities based on the client and their needs. I strive to focus on providing a place of unconditional positive regard, warmth, and empathy with all the people I see. I highly value offering a safe, accepting, and non-judgmental environment for individuals to begin making the changes and progress they are hoping for.
For clients who would benefit from play therapy, I have created a Play Therapy Playroom to encourage children to heal and work out issues through play. As adults we talk about our problems, however play is the natural way that children work out problems. I always meet the client where they are and allow them to express their feelings in a variety of ways.
Therapy with me includes honesty, transparency, and feedback. I approach the therapeutic process with a curious, positive, and encouraging attitude and strive to utilize my connection with clients to create the change they seek.
