About
Everyone needs help sometimes. Life comes with challenges and finding support is important in order to face them, especially when the challenges feel like more than we can handle on our own. I truly believe that every person has the strength they need to face these challenges with the right support in place. I am here to offer whatever support is needed: a safe place to freely speak your mind without judgment, a chance to be understood, an ally to look at situations and options, a companion to offer new ideas and perspectives.
I primarily work with adolescents and adults. I have experience working with issues including: substance abuse and recovery, problem and compulsive gambling, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, self-injury, eating disorders, dual diagnosis, grief, life transitions, LGBTQIA identity issues, and postpartum depression.
In working with clients, I prefer to collaboratively determine what approach and what pace will be the right fit for each individual. My approach to therapy is predominantly Person-Centered, with elements of Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Collaborative and Proactive Solutions model (CPS), and Existential Therapy.
