Prior to seeking my Master's degree in CIinical Mental Health Counseling, I have worked as a licensed social worker for over 30 years, helping people of all ages and backgrounds to verbalize their wellness goals and formulate plans to reach them. My emphasis is on improving communication skills, emotional processing, and better understanding of self and others. I am very open-minded and judgment free. I embrace diversity. My practice and my personal philosophy are inclusive. My approach to counseling is to avoid labels and get down to the heart of any issues that are troubling you.
In addition to traditional counseling, I have extensively studied holistic health, meditation, hypnotherapy, nutrition, and mindfulness practices. I focus on working with couples using Gottman Method relationship counseling, individuals with chronic pain and illness, grief, and those with a history of trauma.
