I am a licensed clinical social worker and I work with children, adults and couple. I have had the honor of helping people to address anxiety, depression, identity exploration, relationship concerns, family issues, and trauma.
It's important to me that therapy is a collaborative space for you to explore thoughts and feelings. I don't consider myself the expert; I have some knowledge and experience to share, and so do you. As a social worker I think about systems, power, oppression and intersectionality.
Most of the time people come to therapy because they are experiencing some sort of symptoms or distress. We will start there. You already have developed ways to cope, and I can help you refine some of those strategies and share some new ones. Then we can think about why some of those symptoms developed, and how you want to move forward in your life.
