My name is Amy Sandridge, and I am a psychotherapist. One purpose of therapy is to feel better in your life. I will help you make connections so that you can better see how what you are doing, or have done, has formed you. Sometimes the goal is to just stop hitting your head against a brick wall. Using cognitive behavioral therapy, internal family systems, genograms, and psychotherapy I will help you towards a sense of well-being and improved personal relationships. It is best to understand your past, to reframe it when necessary and, then, to turn the page.
I treat anxiety, depression, complex trauma, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and dissociative identify disorder. I treat individuals who are struggling in their relationships. I treat folks who are in the legal profession and in law enforcement. I treat substance abuse especially individuals who are in Recovery. I treat post partum depression.
I offer DBT style treatment. I have been trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS). I treat individuals who are new to therapy as well as individuals who have had a great deal of therapy.
I accept commercial insurance and private pay. Unfortunately, I am not able to accept Medicaid or Medicare, currently. I am able to offer a sliding scale.
