I have worked in the mental health field for over 20 years. In that time, I have worked with individuals of many types, including children ages 2 1/2 to 18 and adults to age 70+. The families have ranged from those with small children to those with teenagers and have been coping with a wide range of family systems problems. My experience has covered many areas, from stressors related to school/work, to those coping with mental illnesses of depression, anxiety, ADHD, ODD, OCD, bipolar depression, mild to moderate autism spectrum disorder, and many other illnesses.
Currently I specialize in helping adults and children cope with stress, anxiety and mood concerns from a Christian perspective. I also help with parenting stress. With these specialties, I can see parents, children, and families for family sessions as needed. In addition to clinical training, I have also completed extensive training in Christian Counseling.
I am trained in a treatment protocol that gives me unique skills in areas of parenting stress, behavioral intervention, and parenting young children. My 60 credit hours of specialized training in Christian Counseling also allow me to help individuals and families address difficulties from a Christian perspective, and seek healing in a spiritual context.
