I have an affinity for working with people who have suffered from childhood abuse. People who have experienced childhood abuse may have low-self esteem, depression, anger problems and anxiety. These conditions cause people to have difficulties connecting with others, maintaining a steady job or to have satisfying relationships. Such individuals may have insecure or avoidant attachment styles, are going through IVF or living in solitude not by choice. Other clientele may believe that people are out to get them or have difficulties with dating. I utilize EMDR, brainspotting, IFS, and Gottman for theraputic modalities.
EMDR and brainspotting have been proven to be effective treatments for trauma. Both modalities deal with the subconscious/unconscious part of the brain where our emotions are housed. Working directly with our emotions is key to our healing. I am also certified as an Anger Management Specialist II by the Anger Management Association.
My passion is helping people particularly who have never been married to establish close connections and be more successful at maintaining long-term relationships.
