Amy L Greene
Clinical Social Work/Therapist, LICSW
I believe each of us, despite inner conflict and challenges, has an inner core of strength, calm and compassion. I work with adults, teens and couples, to help them uncover their best selves. I provide a warm, nurturing environment, where I teach you the tools needed to make positive steps. Common issues I treat are: Anxiety and Mood problems, Relationship Conflicts, Teen/Young Adult Issues, Parenting, Compulsive behaviors, Grief, Sexuality/Gender Issues, Non-traditional families. Whether you want to explore negative patterns, trust issues, mourn current or past losses, understand yourself better within relationships, or problem solve a current challenge, I can help you.
I provide coping strategies (ie. CBT/DBT), mindfulness, "parts work", and stress reduction techniques. I provide structure, skills and strategies. I also provide a relaxed "talk therapy" approach which is flexible and fluid. I have an eclectic approach, using many modalities and tailoring it for each specific client, always staying positive and focusing on strengths.
I am interactive and engaging. I have energy and want to see my clients making forward movements toward growth and increased self confidence and acceptance. I see myself as a collaborator, working as a team with my clients. I meet each client where they are, with no set agenda of my own.
