I am a DBT - LBC Certified Dialectical Behavior Therapist specializing in comprehensive Dialectical Behavior Therapy, as well as other evidence based treatments interventions, to help clients manage intense emotions and change problematic behaviors. An ideal match for treatment is someone who has already worked hard at other types of therapy and is frustrated that hard-earned insight hasn't helped them change! Knowing WHY we do things is important; still, insight doesn't always help change intense emotions, stop problem behaviors, or help us focus on life's experiences.

I am intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), having worked with both the informed and adherent model of care for over 20 years. All four components of adherent DBT treatment are offered. Adult and Multi-Family Skills Groups of teens and their parents are offered both mornings and evenings most days of the week.

In addition, I work with parents who are struggling to help their complicated adult children using DBT and an adaptation of Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE). Parents of Struggling Adult Children

I offer group and individual interventions for parents of struggling adult children based in evidence based education on the dynamics between parents and adult children. Informed by an adaptation of Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE) treatment and Dialectical Behavior Therapy, these sessions teach the principals of accommodation along with concrete skills to establish the right sized limit and becoming "unstuck." There is a four week foundational course, as well as weekly ongoing sessions that provide education and support from other parents. Call for more!
