I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who specializes in the mental health treatment of adolescents and adults. I have specialized training in the clinical treatment of trauma and have worked with clients who are survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault/rape/abuse, emotional/verbal abuse, religious and spiritual trauma/abuse, as well as with adult survivors of familial dysfunction and childhood abuse. I have specialized training in the clinical treatment of mood disorders,depression, anxiety, negative thought patterns, sexual health, panic attacks, self-esteem, stress management as well as stage of life transitions.
I have experience providing a variety of therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), supportive therapy, play and art therapy and narrative therapy.
I provide a warm, nonjudgmental and empathetic environment in which my clients will feel heard, accepted, challenged and empowered. I practice from a person-centered, trauma-informed, strengths-based perspective and work with people who are ready to take initiative to begin the healing process. I am a firm believer that therapy is not one-size-fits-all.
