Therapy can be difficult, it requires exposure of thoughts and feelings that you spent a lot of time hiding. It takes courage and self-awareness to start therapy. Anyone reaching out to start that process deserves somebody ready to listen. The best therapy is when a person is ready to make changes in their life. A lot of external change can happen when you make internal changes – by addressing deeply held beliefs and challenging assumptions often accepted as true. I particularly want to be a supportive presence to anyone in the LGBTQ+ community. I work hard to make sure my clients feel safe and empowered in expressing themselves.
It is important to me that you never feel judged when sitting with me. My style is all about helping you understand yourself more fully, so that you can take control over the aspects of your life that are causing distress. I want to figure out what the most meaningful change in your life will be, and help you achieve that change.
