Hello, I'm Amy! I believe people are able to make changes when they are supported, encouraged, and know they are heard. I have experience working with children, teens, and adults. I work with individuals, families, and groups, and provide support to parents in improving the parent/child relationship. I have experience as a school counselor and can help with a variety of school-related issues.
My goal is to empower clients and help them find coping skills that work specifically for them. Areas of specialty include; EMDR therapy, CBT therapy, anxiety, stress management, depression, relational challenges, ADHD, grief, divorce transitions (children and/or adults),conflict resolution, anger management, self-esteem issues, and self-harm.
I can help with a variety of school-related issues including academic accommodations, failing grades, test anxiety, lack of motivation, lack of focus and attention, friendship issues, decision-making, organization, study habits, and stress/anxiety issues. I also work closely with parents to guide and assist in helping their child become a better student.
