Have you been impacted by the trauma of betrayal? Trauma within relationships can look like infidelity, physical abuse, sexual abuse, financial abuse, porn addiction, emotional neglect/abandonment, etc. from someone you thought you could trust like your parents, a good friend, or your spouse. When trust and safety are obliterated in significant relationships it can feel like your world is turned upside down and everything you thought you knew is now in question. In addition, symptoms of trauma can be extremely distressing but luckily there is hope and there are ways to find healing.
Amy is trained in the Multidimensional Partner Trauma Model through APSATS (partners of sex addicts), Betrayal Trauma through ADDO Recovery, EMDR Therapy for trauma, and has focused training in EFT for Couples Therapy. Amy is also a certified facilitator for Trauma Sensitive Yoga and uses Mindfulness and Self-Compassion throughout her work with clients.
Amy loves helping women who have experienced various types of trauma through the many female-only support groups she co-facilitates with her colleague Tiffany Moser, LMFT. Amy appreciates the difficulty in reaching out for support through counseling or through one of her women's groups and recognizes your courage in showing up for yourself!

Female Wellness and Trauma Groups: Phase 1, 2, & 3
Amy co-facilitates a betrayal trauma group for women. Betrayal trauma occurs when someone we depend on for survival, or are significantly attached to, violates our trust in a critical way. The group offers a safe space for women to heal from the trauma of betrayal, increase her support system, identify and create healthy boundaries, and learn how to implement self-care and find peace and calm.
