I'm Amy, an LPC currently serving Baton Rouge and surrounding areas. I have been licensed since 2007 and enjoy working with individuals, couples and families with a wide variety of issues. I am compelled to work with people to improve their lives and explore problem areas to better their interpersonal relationships. My approach to therapy is person-centered, meaning that I will tailor the use of interventions and techniques to your specific needs. Each individual is unique and so your therapy experience should be as well.
My specialties include working with adults suffering with mood and personality disorders as well as substance use disorders. I have extensive experience working with family members including spouses affected by addiction. I work with couples who maybe struggling with a variety of issues such as communication, rebuilding trust, problem solving, etc.
Over the past 15 years I have worked in a variety of settings serving a diversified population. In addition to professional training, I am a wife and mother to 3 children.
