My clinical work experience has been with children, adults and families. In working with individuals to develop a therapeutic relationship, the individual is able to recognize areas for growth and development. I specialize in working with individuals experiencing ADHD, adjustment issues, affective disorders, parenting challenges and trauma. In our work, the individual defines their maximum level of potential and works collaboratively to attain their goals. I practice using evidence based treatment interventions through a Solution Focused approach.
This approach aims to maximize strengths of the individual while addressing issues resulting in current symptomatology. I have training in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), as well as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). These techniques aim to address issues of simple and complex trauma that impair functioning.
The setting is unique in offering wellness services including: reflexology, reiki and therapeutic massage. This allows the individual to explore alternative mind/body therapies to compliment psychotherapy to enhance optimal functioning at the individuals request.
