Mental health begins in childhood and lays the foundation for lifelong well-being. If you suspect your child or teen is struggling with their mental health, I am a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in the unique and complex developmental needs of youth and young adults, particularly support with anxiety disorders, OCD, depression, trauma, grief, ADHD, social difficulties, and family relationships. I practice from an integrative framework that utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), exposure therapy, play therapy techniques, and other expressive modalities to best meet an individual and family's unique needs.
I have a warm, relational, and collaborative approach that emphasizes building a strong therapeutic relationship. I focus on using an individual's unique background, identity, culture, and experiences to create a plan that addresses symptoms and concerns, while incorporating new ways to grow and thrive.
I strongly encourage family involvement in the treatment process. I also work to collaborate with other systems in which the child and family are connected in order to help youth thrive in their community. Together, we can navigate the diverse range of challenges children may face during their developmental journey and ensure they have the tools to thrive.
