I view individuals from a psychodynamic perspective (insight oriented approach that looks at past patterns and experiences and how they affect current relationships and behavior). However, I work with you based on where you are functioning and use a variety of therapeutic techniques. An effective working relationship is the most important factor in therapy and that is what we work on at the beginning of treatment and continue to assess throughout our work together. I view the therapeutic process as a collaborative effort and appreciate feedback from you about your goals and progress in treatment.
I have broad experience working with people that have chronic pain and/or illnesses. I see the daily struggle these clients endure, as well as the grief and loss issues they face. I also have extensive experience working with clients that struggle with anxiety and depression.
