The relationship tends to be the most consistent factor in whether therapy is successful, so I encourage you to trust your intuition. I work with adults (not couples) and adolescents over 14 on a variety of issues, including achieving greater mood stability, identity issues, improved relationships and sexuality, and recovery from trauma. I have experience working effectively with people who identify as trans, genderqueer, and those with diverse lifestyles. I also offer ketamine-assisted psychotherapy in collaboration w/Journey Clinical.
We would work well together if you are someone who is curious about how you came to be who you are wanting to change the status quo. I believe therapy can be both fun and scary, vulnerable, and gratifying. My work is informed by psychodynamic and attachment theory, as well as inference-based CBT for OCD. I also offer ketamine-assisted therapy.
I view people's problems as adaptations to circumstances that are not ideal. This understanding helps reduce self- criticism to focus on resources already available.
