So much to say in such a small space! I became a therapist because I wanted to give purpose to the pain that I had gone through and to let people know they weren't alone, that if I got through it, they could too. I have lived experience with anxiety, grief, stress (of course we all do!), panic, and trauma. As well as in parenting, marriage, and ADHD (2 of my adult children). I enjoy working with women who have ADHD or suspect that they might. Also, clients dealing with life transitions, anxiety, stress, or depression. Lastly, I love supporting parents on the often-rocky-but-very-rewarding road that is parenting.
Next question! "How can I help?" Well, I work from a strengths-based approach which basically means, what are your strengths and what is working in your life? That may seem like a tricky question since you're currently looking for help, but they're important questions. I favor growing what is good, while at the same time addressing what isn't.
I think there is value in being able to relate to your clients story whether it's pain, grief, loss, anxiety, or depression. I care deeply if our sessions are effective and if you are feeling and getting better. I hope you can see that I'm also real! If that feels right to you, we might be a good fit!
