Studies prove that unaddressed childhood trauma can negatively impact an individual’s ability to function in life as an adult. Children often develop distortions about their value and uniqueness. Processing this now may save you and your child a lot of heartache later. My compassionate approach to therapy is holistic, meaning that I take into consideration how different life events and people affect the whole person. I create a specific treatment plan for the client that fits their needs. Life challenges are a constant, but with the right strategies, a child can learn how to handle and navigate through them with confidence.
My Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling is from Ottawa University in 2013. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. My experience has been in private practice, schools, and community-based counseling settings. Additional training includes trauma recovery, family systems, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
If you are struggling to see a different path than your current situation, counseling is a place to find options and resources to grow as an individual.
