Hi, I'm Amy (she/her) and I'm a counselor specializing in guiding individuals through life's transitions and grief and loss. Clients I work with may have difficulties which arise from many different situations, such as living with chronic illness or cancer, bereavement or anticipatory bereavement, caregiver burnout, romantic breakups, job layoffs, and more. In addition to being a licensed counselor, I am an experienced hospice volunteer. I understand how important it is to have a supportive space for processing grief for clients facing the end of their life and for caregivers supporting ill family members.
When you work with me as a counselor, know that although I cannot fix your grief, I can walk the path with you and help you cope with your distress. You can expect our sessions to include ample opportunity for you to describe your thoughts and feelings. We will also focus on coping skills you can use to manage the difficult symptoms you're experiencing.
