Finding a therapist can be a daunting and overwhelming process. Then add the other mental challenges, barriers to treatment, and stigma, and it makes sense why it is hard to ask for help. Mental health concerns affect people from every culture and intersectional identity. Throughout my fourteen years of experience, I've discovered how each client is unique and when treated with their cultural/identity needs as a roadmap in the treatment plan, they can recover and thrive more quickly.
As a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist, I have years of experience working with teens, adults, and families struggling with eating disorders, disordered eating, poor body image, trauma, and OCD. I have worked at every level of care related to eating disorder treatment and utilize evidence-based therapies that are shown to have high recovery rates.
Therapy is for everyone. You do not need a diagnosis to benefit from counseling. I offer a non-judgmental, empathetic space for you to be heard and work through your struggles. I love what I do and encourage you to reach out and make an appointment.

Eating disorders are my primary focus, as well as issues that are generally related to EDs. With EDs, we use CBT-e as a structured 20-session treatment that includes four phases. Depending on your motivation to change, you can expect symptom and behavior reduction within the first 2-4 weeks.

Depending on your primary concern, I will use CBT-E (for eating disorders) and then utilize other theories for any co-occurring issues. Generally, I use CBT-e to help stabilize ED behaviors, then add in IFS for parts work, ACT for those who prefer acceptance over disputation, and then ERP for OCD and CPT and somatic work for trauma. All therapy has a multicultural and strength-based approach.
