We navigate our lives based on different experiences and expectations, often seeing life through different lenses. It is out of this notion, that comes the realization that as your therapist, I don't relate to you soley as a "diagnosis" nor will I keep you in a "diagnostic box". Growth comes from giving and sharing space. I have learned to connect through a non-judgmental, strength based approach. This, I believe, is at the heart of a strong therapeutic relationship. Out of this relationship, I have the ability to calm your fears that are often barriers in therapy.
Social media creates an environment exacerbating fear and doubt. I have seen emotional devastation in families where a child is bullied at school. How we engage in social media can be detrimental to mental health, leaving the potential for self harm, addiction and suicide. I specialize in healing trauma.
I am an experienced & passionate Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with Supervisory Designation. I have a PhD in Clinical Counseling from Ohio University. I have demonstrated positive outcomes with anxiety, depression, trauma, psychosis, addictions and childhood pervasive developmental disorders. I work with individuals, families and couples wanting a happier existence.
