Amy holds a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology, is a fully licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Washington state, and is trained in Relational Psychotherapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Filial Play Therapy, and Sand Tray Therapy. She currently works with individuals of all ages, families of all kinds, general counseling clients, sexual abuse survivors, and several monthly groups, ongoing retreats, and events.

Amy provides caring treatment in: Adoption/Foster Care issues, Birth Family relationships/reunions, PTSD, trauma recovery, sexual abuse, grief and loss, identity struggles, anxiety, depression, anger management, children of divorce, cross-cultural adjustments, and more. She treats each client with deep empathy and great hope for healing and wholeness.

Amy facilitates monthly groups, ongoing retreats and events for Adult Adoptees and Birth Mothers. She is also specially trained in The PATCh Program for Parenting Adopted & Traumatized Children, a 12-16 week program of individual and group therapies designed to address attunement, attachment, and other related issues in Adoption and Foster Care.

This monthly group is designed to provide support and psychoeducation for Adult Adoptees (and children of Adult Adoptees) addressing issues such as identity and sense of self, intimacy and relationships, ambiguous loss, disenfranchised grief, abandonment and rejection, transracial issues, split family loyalties, Birth Family search and reunions, birthday ambivalence, and many other adoption related topics. Additional activities for this group may include Movie Nights where movies with adoption themes are viewed and discussed by the group.
