I have experience in a variety of settings such as BHRS (wraparound) , inpatient/outpatient clinical work, and addictions. I am certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and am skilled in teaching skills in mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. I absolutely love teaching skills and helping people process and grow. I use an eclectic approach from different therapies such as CBT and mindfulness in order to help clients find what works.
I tend to use an applied and realistic approach to learning about emotions and how they contribute to behaviors. I do well with finding creative approaches to teach applicable skills in order to disrupt problematic patterns and enhance quality of life.
