I have been a counselor working with children, adults, and families for over 25 years. I believe individuals have the strengths and resources to solve challenges in their lives, and my job as a counselor is to help you discover how to use them to bring about change. I have worked with survivors of emotional, physical, and sexual abuse and have extensive experience working with children with behavioral and emotional issues and supporting parents in these situations. I work effectively with those dealing with PTSD, depression, and anxiety, as well as other mental health diagnoses that are causing discomfort. I am EMDR trained.
I have considerable experience working in the foster care system as a therapist, administrator, and supervisor. I have provided therapy to foster children for 25 years and have worked with foster, adoptive, and biological parents. I provide trauma-informed services for children, adults, and families with a collaborative, strength-focused approach.
