I love helping people find their way, whether through traumatic experiences from the past or through current life stressors. For adolescents and adults who have experienced emotional trauma, I utilize trauma-focused approaches, including EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). There are a variety of approaches to therapy and together, we will explore which would be most beneficial to you as the client. I find that most people really enjoy the therapeutic experience and come out of it more self-assured and confident.
EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. It is a form of therapy that helps people heal from trauma or other distressing life experiences. EMDR therapy has been extensively researched and has demonstrated effectiveness for trauma.
In addition to professional training, I am a wife and mother to 2 teenagers. This real-life experience lends another set of skills many of my clients find valuable in processing through their own personal/family experiences.
