I offer a free phone consultation before setting up our initial meeting, because I believe that it is important to make sure that clients and therapists are a good match for each other. Although it may be difficult at times to share our life experiences with one another, I have seen that working through our most challenging life events is what helps us grow the most. I love talking with teens, adults, and athletes about the challenges and changes they want to conquer in their life, and I am motivated to be a part of the new lifestyle that people choose to develop for themselves. I am experienced in both sport and health psychology.
Over the past 25 years, I've enjoyed working with people who are overcoming a crisis, battling relational issues, and are learning to balance wellness and responsibility in their sport, academic, work, and family life. I emphasize the importance of healthy life choices including exercise and nutritional eating.
I incorporate a mixture of Adlerian theory and Cognitive Behavior Therapy to help address the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that people want to change so they can build on current strengths and increase their self-esteem and confidence.
