Hello! In my years of experience, I have found that my primary method of working with others is to come from a person-centered point of view. We work together to better understand your point of view. I've worked with folks who struggle with anxiety and depression, life stressors, and those who may have a history of trauma. My goal is to come alongside you during your journey and help you discover ways to cope with what has been going on in your life, and to help you address any unhelpful patterns of thought or behavior that may, at times, get in the way of you achieving your personal goals.
My approach is steeped in a humanistic perspective, where you are the expert of yourself. I offer cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy, and work from perspective that we are more than just diagnoses or labels. I am a firm social justice advocate and approach topics from a place of cultural responsiveness and humility.
It can definitely be challenging to reach out and ask for help. I'm happy to answer any questions you may have about what it would be like to work together. Please feel free to contact me! You can reach me via phone or email. (Please note: I do not prescribe medications.)
