I’m a fully licensed clinical therapist (VA, DC, MD, MA, NC, FL, WV, VT, RI) accepting new patients—adults, teens, & relationships—of all identities/orientations. I assist people who worry that they are broken feel capable of handling distress by addressing trauma and other challenges in a judgement-free environment. I employ an eclectic mix of methods grounded in psychodynamic psychotherapy. You don't have to know what that means! You will find the best fit when you meet potential therapists, not read about them.
I believe emotions tell us a great deal about how we experience life, and that by knowing ourselves and our emotions better, we can have freedom. Often, the healthiest people go to therapy. It is a sign of strength, not weakness. I fight for social justice and believe therapy can help us triumph over systemic abuses. There's no wrong way to start therapy!
