Psychotherapy can provide an arena for assessment, communication, support, integration, and/or change. Both client and clinician participate in the therapeutic process. Whether the presented concerns indicate crisis intervention, brief goal-directed counseling, or in-depth therapy, my intent is to offer safety, presence, support, perspective, and a relational context which I hope will help you navigate the change process.
I utilize approaches and techniques which integrate cognitive, affective, behavioral, experiential, physical, and spiritual components. I frequently draw upon ideas developed by Virginia Satir; the Structural and Strategic schools of marital/family therapy; and the Somatic Experiencing approach to trauma informed care and recovery.
