I enjoy working with people of all ages who are striving to move through and process the difficult life experiences, changes and transitions we all experience such as grief & loss, divorce, trauma, addictions of all kinds, parenting and behavioral problems in children and adolescents.

I have been helping individuals, couples and families for over 30 years. Clients & colleagues describe me as experienced, effective, direct, honest, kind, compassionate, genuine & caring. Strengths are my empathy & ability to connect with others in a therapeutic way as to help facilitate growth, change and movement in their lives & acceptance of self. I use an eclectic approach: cognitive-behavioral, experiential, relational, solution-focused, supportive, trauma informed, and insight-oriented psychotherapy. Expertise working with couples, families & adolescents. An Addiction Specialist and an OASAS-DMV Provider for drug & alcohol evaluations, assessment and treatment. I am also certified by EAPA as a Employee Assistance Specialist-Clinical(EAS-C).

The goal of my practice is to improve the quality of life of my clients and assist them reach their full potential and personal goals. Specializing in family and couple therapy. I also specialize in depression and anxiety. The ideal client will be dedicated to their own treatment and have a strong desire to feel better. Together with my client we work as a team to achieve the therapeutic goals and make life worth living and enjoying. I have been working in a mental health for over a decade and it's my greatest passion in life.

I have been working in the social work field for over 24 years. My experience has been primarily with Adolescents and Adults who suffer from addiction and mental health disorders. I enjoy the process of engaging individuals and trying to develop a working relationship built upon sincerity and trust. I believe that the therapeutic alliance is the most important aspect of any effective counseling session. I understand and recognize that each individual is unique and brings his/her different life experiences and circumstances to the therapeutic relationship which serve as their building blocks of internal change and self-growth.

I have been a clinical socialworker for 25years. I have provided individual,couples,and family therapy relating to grief, depression,anxiety,and trauma. I have have extensive training with children and adolescents utilizing play therapy and EMDR

Footprints was started by a therapist who realized that often times the services provided to low socio-economic communities is lacking quality care. We noticed these communities were confronted with long wait times, disrespectful admins, and subpar treatment. The one and only purpose was to exploit the community for profit without providing the level of care deserved. Feel Better Therapy began from the inspiration to provide quality mental health care to the poorest of communities and treating the clients of this community the same way a rich patient would be treated in a clinic treating affluent clients.

Counseling can be challenging and anxiety-provoking, but also rewarding. We will work collaboratively to create a safe space for you, that allows you to feel motivated, freed, and emotionally competent within yourself. My goal is to assist you with being resilient during challenging times. I am a generalist in that I will work with most problems. My approach is Cognitive-Behavioral. I work to help individuals, families, and children to adjust their lives so they are more comfortable and in control of behaviors and emotions. I have found that active participation in setting goals and in tracking progress is important and part of the best way to change. Areas of interest include: depression, anxiety, OCD, ADHD, relationship problems, and parenting difficulties.
