Much of what brings people to therapy is some version of the same questions: Who am I? and How did I get here? Transitions (anticipated or not) have a way of surfacing these questions. The end of a career. The beginning of a family. A milestone birthday that leaves you feeling more lost than celebratory. Whatever the circumstances, it can be hard to find your footing. I focus on helping people move through uncertainty without being enveloped by it. In our work together we will look at grief across time, from its roots in early childhood to its impact on your near and distant future.
I work especially well with former athletes, pregnant and postpartum women, expats, and others navigating significant life transitions and the grief they bring about. My approach is honest, direct, and compassionate.
My identity as a therapist has been shaped significantly by my own personal work in therapy since age 20. I know how it feels to sit in the client's chair, to feel uncertain, emote, and find a new way forward. I am committed to bringing the same consistency and care that have been transformative in my own life to every client interaction.
