Using Internal Family Systems Therapy I facilitate a process of you gaining insight into your thoughts, beliefs, emotions, and behaviors so you can understand yourself better and begin to release and manage inner turmoil (anxiety and depression). This process can lead to an improved sense of calm, clarity, self-compassion, and connection with others.

I am a licensed mental health counselor who specializes in treating ages 13-30. I have experience working with eating disorders, trauma, anxiety, depression, defiant behaviors, aggression, anger, suicidal ideation, and more. I also provide LGBTQQ+ affirming and safe counseling and have experience working with neurodiverent teens and adults.

I specialize in working with individuals and couples who are experiencing relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, substance use, codependency and perfectionism. Problematic behaviors, thoughts and perceptions, have their roots in past relationships or experiences that were emotionally or psychologically damaging. In our work together, I will help you to explore and overcome some of these emotional and psychological barriers.

Some of my areas of specialization include trauma and abuse, anxiety, depression, grief/loss as well as parent support/education. I am also state trained in Parent Child Interaction Therapy. PCIT is a therapeutic approach for children ages 2-7 and their caregiver with both behavioral and/or relationship struggles within the home.

I help couples who are looking to increase their communication skills, feel disconnected and learn to approach conflict in a problem-solving manner. I engage adoptees and their families in encouraging the adoptee to share his/her story, provide psychoeducation around issues that arise for adoptees and help them to form their identity and learn coping skills.
