Discovering the Wisdom Within: Cultivating consciousness and tuning into presence-- I integrate spirituality into psychotherapy. These two pathways to healing are intimately connected, both offering important and necessary tools for deep healing and awakening. Psychotherapy employs tested processes to understand personality traits, events that create disturbance in our lives, and patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving. Spirituality offers us the ability to encourage loving kindness with all that we are. It teaches us to nurture and develop the inner observer, present moment awareness, non-judgment, and heart-centered thinking. Cultivating intimacy with all that we are--light and dark, high and low, superficial and deep.
Therapy is about reigniting the feelings of being alive: experiencing wonder, enjoyment, and satisfaction in life. It is the way of the inner warrior, returning to the root of self. A journey into the self and then back into the world changed and transformed, with new perspectives and new ways of being.
Cultivating consciousness and tuning into presence with awareness and compassion: We will explore emotional work, thinking patterns, somatic work, relational deepening, the enneagram, the inner critic, the observer, present moment awareness, mindfulness, meditation, shadow work, loving kindness, myths, archetypes, dreamwork, visualization, imagery, non-judgment, intuition and insight, spiritual bypassing, and self-compassion.
