Sometimes the parts of our lives that promise the most happiness become sources of anxiety, disappointment, or frustration. As a therapist at Potter Counseling, I aim to create a warm, welcoming space where you can speak openly about these things and be taken seriously. I will invite you to tell your story, to reflect on formative relationships and experiences, and to grow in awareness of current thought patterns, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we will set values-oriented goals, and you will experiment with new skills and ways of thinking to leave you feeling more confident and effective in important roles and relationships.

I welcome clients of all ages but regularly work with teens (11+), college & graduate students and young adults. I utilize evidenced-based practices, drawing primarily Cognitive Behavioral Therapies (CBT), including Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Exposure & Response Prevention (E/RP), as applicable. I am happy to integrate faith if requested.
