About
Hello! My name is Amber Moody. I am a licensed mental health counselor. I have been practicing as a mental health counselor for the past 10 years. I graduated in 2012 with my Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Ball State University. I have vast experience of working with all different populations including people seeking help for depression, anxiety, PTSD/Trauma, LGBTQA+ issues, anger management and much more. I have experience working in a variety of fields including community based counseling, hospital, outpatient and private practice.
My counseling approach is primarily based around client-centered as well as using techniques from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), feminist and Gestalt. My clients can expect to be provided a relaxing, confidential, non-judgmental environment where they can talk about anything they need to.
My clients will also be challenged, provided an open listening environment and be provided insight into their concerns. Nothing makes me more proud of being a counselor than seeing my client's grow and flourish. It takes a lot of strength and courage to ask for help and I am so glad that you have. Let's take this journey together!
