Over the past 10 years, I’ve worked with clients navigating life’s plot twists, anxiety, depression, ADHD, LGBTQ+ identity, and grief, basically all the moments where things don’t go as planned and your brain decides to add commentary. My approach is grounded in both clinical experience and lived experience, including the loss of a baby, being late diagnosed with ADHD, and managing chronic illness, all of which pushed me to learn deeply so I could show up more fully for my clients. I tend to meet people in the messy middle, where things are real, a little complicated, and still very workable.
The first session is basically a “let’s see if we vibe” meeting. We’ll get to know each other, talk through your history, what’s going on right now, and what you’re hoping to get out of therapy, without it feeling like an interrogation.
One of my biggest strengths as a therapist is that I’m very human about all of this. I show up authentically, I’m honest (in a kind but real way), and yes, I’m a little nosy but the helpful kind that’s genuinely curious about how your brain works and why you do what you do.
