Hi, I’m Amber! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Maryland and Florida. While completing my degree at Johns Hopkins University, I found my passion for helping people especially neurodivergent minds like my own. As soon as I could, I developed more skills and became a clinical specialist for Autism (ASDCS) and ADHD (ADHD-CCSP) in addition to my niche of trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy and child centered play therapy. I am a strong believer in providing empathetic & individualized care in a structured manner and that greatly aligns to my role.

A few years ago I was finally diagnosed with a neurodivergent diagnosis and it opened my eyes to how many people suffer with being misdiagnosed like myself. I dived into more training and sought out ways to aid with bridging the gap of under-diagnosed persons as well as misdiagnosed ones.
My approaches vary client-to-client; however, I do practice utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy often due to its structured nature in sessions. In my sessions, I always encourage open & honest communication as well as questions so that we can better understand ourselves and our needs/wants/goals.
