Hi, I’m Amber :) I’m a Registered Nurse and a Licensed Professional Counselor/Licensed Mental Health Counselor. My journey has taken me through healthcare, mental health, education, and human services, and along the way I’ve come to deeply appreciate how interconnected our systems are. I also recognize that these systems are not always built with every individual in mind, and that factors like race, socioeconomic status, gender, and other identities can deeply impact a person’s access to care and overall well-being.
I’m also neurodivergent, chronically ill, and received my diagnoses later in life, and I have lived experience with mental health and health challenges, both personally and within my family. Those experiences shape how I show up in my work: with authenticity, empathy, and a genuinely nonjudgmental presence.
In our first session, you can expect a collaborative and grounded conversation. I’ll invite you to share your story, what’s bringing you in, and what you hope to gain from therapy. My goal is to create safety, offer transparency about the process, and begin identifying strengths and supportive strategies that feel realistic and empowering for you.
