About
All clients are unique as are all therapists. Research has shown that clients benefit the most from therapy, when there is a strong match between client and therapist. I encourage my clients ability to unpack and explore their worldview in a safe place. I am sensitive, to how considering new perspectives can be both scary and challenging. Courageously re-framing severe distress as a logical, biological and psychological response to environmental conditions, guides my practice. I work with adolescents, adults, individuals and families.
I specialize in trauma, race based trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, low self-esteem, and other relationship related challenges, such as interracial, gender and transgender conflicts. In addition, I have extensive training in healing racial trauma, using a scientifically validated approach while examining how the environment impacts healing.
In this context, "behavior" refers to actions and skills. "Environment" includes any influence - physical or social - that might change or be changed by one's behavior. Asking for help is not easy, but I believe that life provides us all with many opportunities for growth.

Fall 2019 Process Group Therapy for Black Women
In the current social and political climate, the awareness of the trauma and struggles of successful, unapologetic Black Women is rising. While these struggles are not new for Black Women, Safe and Supportive Spaces to explore with other Black Women are needed more than ever! These groups will provide: an outlet for black women to explore themselves, their lives and their relationships with two Black therapists, Chandra Davis, LCPC, LCPAT and Amber Flynn, LCPC. This will be a closed/flexible, long-term group that will meet for 6-8 week increments.
