I am a licensed clinical social worker with experience working with a great number of clients in a variety of settings. I work with adolescents and adults collaboratively to create a safe and comfortable space where clients can be their true selves. I help clients to explore their current circumstances as well as their past experiences to understand who they are and why they are this way. Through this understanding and experience clients are able to create positive change in their lives. I believe that to truly know thyself is the path to self acceptance and happiness.
In addition, I help clients identify and alter unwanted behaviors through specific cognitive-behavioral techniques. As a certified yoga teacher, I incorporate mindfulness techniques into my sessions as another tool to effect positive change. This combination of psychodynamic, mindful and cognitive-behavioral approaches is extremely effective in producing long term change and happiness.
I offer individual and group therapy to adolescents and adults. Specializations include: Anxiety, depression, addiction and recovery, conflict resolution, stress management, parenting and relationship issues, career issues, grief and loss, trauma recovery, as well as many others.
