Welcome - I’m glad you’re here! Starting therapy can feel overwhelming and I’m here to help you feel most comfortable taking this next step in your life. My name is Amber Brown, and I am a mental health counselor, art therapist and owner of Creative Roots Counseling.
My counseling style is transparent, warm, collaborative, and strive to hold a purposeful environment that embodies empathy, understanding, and acceptance. I appreciate the diverse backgrounds and experiences of my clients, customizing counseling sessions to meet their unique needs and goals.
I am a registered art therapist and trained in perinatal mental health and have a passion for working with women and parents who might be struggling during the prenatal, perinatal, or postnatal phases. This could include, but is not limited to, concerns with depression, anxiety, parenting transition struggles, birth trauma, and/or infertility.
In our sessions, you will notice quickly how much I value comfort and warmth with blankets to soft lighting. My space holds inspiring stories of past and present client’s artwork on all walls. I bring a mix of compassion, humor and being boldly honest with feedback and supports.
