About
I approach traditional talk therapy with a combination of psychodynamic, humanistic, and relational theories. If words alone cannot fully capture a feeling or experience, I offer art therapy as a tool to achieve deeper understanding. Regardless of the technique, at the center of my practice is my belief that the alliance between the client and therapist is the most vital component to therapy. My goal is to create a space in which you feel safe, seen, and heard. My hope is that the people with whom I work feel comfortable enough to explore the complexities of their everyday lives and empowered to make positive changes.
Some of the challenges I can help with include managing stress and anxiety, reducing depression, improving self-esteem/self-worth, and finding solutions to relational difficulties. I also have experience working with traumatic childhood and family experiences including abuse and domestic violence.
Whether you would like to attend therapy on your own or with your partner, or if you are sending your child, my goal is to provide a caring and non-judgmental space. Throughout our work together I will remain curious, engaged, and committed to your process of increased self-awareness and insight. Please feel free to schedule an initial consultation.
