We often go to counseling when we are seeking something; whether it be healing, insight, peace within ourselves, healthy relationships, or a sense of wholeness in our lives and selves. Anxiety, depression, anger, trauma, experiences from our past, relationship struggles, and other emotional challenges may get in the way of our ability to find that which we seek. Identifying, understanding, and healing from that pain can help us to achieve an increased sense of contentment and peace within our lives, and increased ability to manage events and relationships that can often be difficult.
My training and experience is with children, adolescents, and adults. I utilize a variety of techniques based on a person-centered approach that adapts to the needs and strengths of my client. Some of my techniques are: Cognitive Behavioral, expressive & play, insight and emotional processing, and mindfulness-based.
I am a Child Mental Health Specialist (CMHS), and work very effectively with youth and teens. I have experience working and living cross-culturally with the Latino community, am fluent in Spanish.
